Midnight Ghost Hunt pits 4 Ghosts against a team of 4 Hunters; during the day, the Hunters can kill off the Ghosts, but the Ghosts can come back at Midnight to terrorize the Hunters and turn the tables. Midnight is the most critical time in the game for both sides. Here's what to do at Midnight as both a Ghost and a Hunter in Midnight Ghost Hunter.
What To Do At Midnight As A Ghost
Midnight is primetime for Ghosts; as the Ghost, Midnight is when you become the hunter rather than the hunted. It's safer to attack during this time, since you'll be able to deal more damage to hunters than before 12AM hits. Therefore, it's best to adopt an aggressive strategy as a Ghost. Be sure to attack Hunters and be sure to take them down, since doing so at this point means winning the game!
While after Midnight is the best time to attack Hunters and spend lots of time in your Ghost form, it doesn't mean you should do so without discretion. You can still die if a Hunter kills you, so it's important to continue to make use of props to protect yourself and even hide when necessary. Teaming up with other Ghosts can help you stay stronger as a team and spend more time in your Ghost forms, letting you easily take down Hunters.
You won't have to spend as much time worrying about how much Ectoplasm you've built up after Midnight, since Hunters finding you won't pose as much of a threat to you as usual.
What To Do At Midnight As A Hunter
As a Hunter, your goal is to kill off all of the Ghosts before Midnight; if you don't do that, you'll still have a chance to win, but you'll need to shift from a more aggressive strategy to a more defensive one after Midnight.
Because Ghosts are so powerful, you'll want to try to sneak up on Ghosts if possible rather than the other way around. However, this can be difficult when Ghosts are disguising themselves as props.
Be sure to use your tools, like your Radar, even more frequently than usual at Midnight. This can help you keep track of where Ghosts are, especially if they choose to adopt a stealthy strategy and ambush the Hunters. You should also look out for any Ghost abilities that might throw you off, like the Doppelganger disguise, and remember to use your own perks.
No matter which side you're on in Midnight Ghost Hunt - the Hunter or the Ghost - you still have a chance of winning after Midnight, but Ghosts definitely have the advantage at this point. Try taking the tips in this guide and applying them to your gameplay, and seeing if you find that you win more often after one of the game's most important moments.
