How to get Bloody Rod in Lost Ark

Lost Ark has a plethora of collectible items that players can spend hours and hours trying to find across the map of Arkesia. One of the most desirable sets of collectibles are items for the Adventurer’s Tome. The Tome is a journal that tracks all collectibles players find in a set region. The game introduces you to this feature early on but it’s rare that a player will fully complete their Adventurer’s Tome. For those that are trying or those that simply want some smaller rewards, you’ll need to find a tricky item: the Bloody Rod.

The Bloody Rod is infamous among Lost Ark players thanks to its RNG nature. Unlike most other items in the Adventurer’s Tome, the Bloody Rod isn’t earned from a set quest or drop from a boss. Instead, the Bloody Rod is randomly earned by killing a random enemy in a specific region of the game. For players that are looking to add this item to their Tome, they can read the guide below to find the best way to do so.

Finding the Bloody Rod in Lost Ark 

The Bloody Rod is an Adventurer’s Tome item on the continent of Rethramis. Rethramis’ Adventurer’s Tome is perhaps the hardest to complete in all of Lost Ark, as a few of the items you need to collect are random to find in nature. However, the most difficult of these items is the Bloody Rod.

• Lost Ark Volare Island - Location, Quest, and Rewards
• Lost Ark Oblivion Island – Location, Island boss co-op quest, and rewards
• Lost Ark Lagoon Island – Location, Island Boss quest, and rewards

Unlike other collectibles like the Plague Spores and Boof of the Priest, which is somewhat easier to loot, the Bloody Rod will take players an undetermined amount of time to find. It’s completely random and you can’t even hone in on a certain enemy to kill.

On Rethramis, you just have to keep killing random mobs and enemies until one of them drops the Bloody Rod. It’s a purple-rarity item, so the chances of it dropping were already low. However, once you throw in the fact that it comes from a random enemy, it becomes far more difficult.

The best strategy to loot this item is to kill any enemy you come across during your time on Rethramis. With enough luck, you’ll loot the item in a reasonable amount of time. As always, to add it to your Adventurer’s Tome, go to your inventory and right-click on the Bloody Rod. This automatically adds it to your Tome for the region. You’re now one step closer to completing the Adventurer’s Tome and earning more rewards in Lost Ark.
