The highly anticipated sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, has arrived on PlayStation consoles in what looks to be yet another successful release for developer Guerrilla Games and Sony. Picking up the story from Horizon Zero Dawn, players reunite with the protagonist Aloy, uncovering new secrets and threats in a new frontier.

Since players will immerse themselves in the game's main story quests, there are, of course, plenty of trophies for hunters to start grinding. This guide will detail all the trophies to earn in Horizon Forbidden West, including the details on the "Play and Plant" initiative connected to one game trophy.

There are 59 trophies for players to earn in Horizon Forbidden West, including 50 Bronze trophies, 7 Silver trophies, and 1 Gold and Platinum trophies. These are awarded by completing the story quest and trophy-adjacent tasks.

The story difficulty doesn't affect the trophy count as players can play the game on any of the available difficulties and earn all the trophies listed below. Furthermore, they can transfer trophies they've earned in-game, but only from PS4 to PS5 and not the other way around.

One of the game's trophies, "Reached the Daunt", is tied to the "Play and Plant" initiative, where Sony partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation.

Every player who unlocks this specific trophy from launch day until 25th March 2022 will have a tree donated in their name, which the Arbor Day Foundation will plant in one of three designated locations in the United States.

This initiative pays homage to the game's themes of climate deterioration, restoring balance to the ecosystem and protecting the planet from a threat that has wreaked havoc on the ecology and put civilisation on the verge of hunger.
