Players will need to reach Trailblaze Rank 12 and have completed the Long Wait for the Blade's Edge Trailblaze Mission in order to unlock the Unexpected Turn Of Events quest. Once these requirements are complete, Asta will send you a text message asking for your help. Speak with her in the Master Control Room of Herta's Space Station to start the quest.

Players will be able to progress through a majority of this sidequest without any issues. Simply follow along with the dialogue, and navigate to the waypoints on your map while interacting with key objects. However, at times in this quest, players will need to make the correct decision in order to progress. In two instances, players will have the option to choose from several choices. The first is when talking with Capote. Select the following three options in order to progress:

• "Nod in approval"
• "Spares no effort in praising"
• "Threaten Capote with dismissal"

Secondly, players will need to assist Asta when she presents evidence to Arlan. During this time, players will need to present the following three pieces of evidence in order to progress.

• "Master Capote's Life Wiki"
• "Arlan's ID Pass"
• "Photo of Arlan's Back"

It should be stated that there is no punishment for selecting the wrong options in this quest. Honkai Star Rail will never gate quest completion of available rewards behind a choice that can be failed.
