The recent Honkai Star Rail 1.6 livestream revealed tons of upcoming content, including new areas, events, characters, and more. While the stream focused primarily on the now-live patch 1.6, several teasers were also shown off, highlighting content coming in patch 2.0 and beyond.
For those unaware, the next region that Honkai Star Rail players will be able to explore in patch 2.0 is named Penacony.
A reliable Honkai Star Rail leaker has revealed that one of the upcoming playable characters, named Sunday, will feature as a boss in Honkai Star Rail 2.0.

🛐Sunday will also be a boss in Penacony. 🛐
I don't know if it has been leaked yet, but I'll leave it just in case, it has config data:

Sunday was showcased during the livestream alongside other future characters, such as Sam, Aventurine, and the already-revealed Black Swan and Sparkle.
Not much more information is readily available about these characters, but Penacony and version 2.0 of Honkai Star Rail are set to launch in early 2024. So, players won't have long to wait before they can start exploring a new region and encountering new characters.
Until then, Honkai Star Rail 1.6 has lots of new content for players to enjoy such as the new Gold and Gears event and the new characters Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio.
