Taking the role of the main protagonist, the Trailblazer will be the player's self-insert into the world of Honkai Star Rail. Armed with a mighty baseball bat at the start of the game, the Trailblazer is great for dishing out tons of single-target or AOE Physical Element damage. 

The Trailblazer will start out, as mentioned, as a Physical Element character on the Path of Destruction. However, it is possible to unlock an entirely different Trailblazer with a different Element and Path. This Trailblazer wields the Fire Element and follows the Path of Preservation. How To Unlock Fire Trailblazer In Honkai Star Rail

Players will unlock the Fire Trailblazer after completing the Trailblaze Mission "End of the Eternal Freeze." After progressing through the main story until the end of the Jarilo-VI arc, the Astral Express crew will gear up to face Cocolia as the final boss. Players will need to be Trailblaze Level 24 or higher to challenge this mission, and the Trailblazer must be a part of your team setup. This means if you proceeded to bench the Trailblazer for a shiny new five-star character, you'll want to give the Trailblazer some kind of gear and EXP so they can survive in the battle. 

After taking down the first phase of the Cocolia boss fight, the Fire Trailblazer will be unlocked midway through the battle as a Trial character. Here, the game will explain the move set and general combat style of the Fire Trailblazer. As a Path of Preservation character, the Fire Trailblazer is ostensibly a tank character, able to shield allies and taunt enemies into attacking them.
