As announced by Microsoft at Gamescom 2021, Xbox and PC gamers will be able to don the boots of Master Chief for the next entry into the iconic FPS franchise with Halo Infinite. There's a high expectation from fans following the game's delays, and the exclusion of co-op campaign mode as well as Forge on launch, the game needs to deliver on every other front. For PC gamers, one of the most important aspects of a brand-new title is if their gaming rig can run it without issue. That's where the official Halo Infinite PC system requirements come into play, featuring the minimum and recommended PC specs, as well as the expected file size.
Halo Infinite PC specs detailed
Thanks to the official Halo Infinite page on Steam, we finally have the PC specs to share. An important note before we get started is that, according to Tom's Hardware, Xbox informed them that: "the minimum and recommended specs may be adjusted slightly prior to launch" and that the developers will "have more to share on specific performance expectations closer to launch."
With the disclaimer out of the way, you can check out the minimum and recommended PC specs for Halo Infinite below.
Halo Infinite minimum PC system requirements:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64
- Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440

The minimum PC specs for Halo Infinite doesn't seem bad at all, and most rigs built for gaming in 2020 or 2021 should have no trouble at least running the game.
What is Halo Infinite's file size?
On the same Steam page, it appears as if the Halo Infinite file size has been revealed. Keep in mind this might change, however, as the Halo Infinite file size does seem small for 2021 standards.
Halo Infinite's Steam page notes that "50 GB available space" is required. While this isn't exactly the same as the file size, as installation could require more GBs than the actual game on your HDD, it is a good indication of what gamers can expect.
So there you have it, the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Halo Infinite, as well as the expected file size. Hopefully, Microsoft will outline the expected performance for these specs soon but there's still more than enough time for PC gamers to upgrade their rigs if they want to.
