Halo Infinite has a list of achievements tied to their campaign and multiplayer modes for achievement hunters to collect. Developer 343 Industries have also added a few secret achievements that will require some luck and investigation skills to discover.
One such elusive achievement is called “Greased Lightning” which can be rather difficult to complete. So, here is what we know about the Greased Lightning achievement, how to get it, rewards and more.
What is the Greased Lightning Achievement in Halo Infinite?
The Greased Lightning achievement is categorised as a secret achievement in Halo Infinite. This achievement can be found in the Spartan Academy Tutorial Mode where the are three other achievements players can earn when visiting the Academy.
How to earn the Greased Lightning achievement?
According to True Achievements, what makes this achievement rather difficult to complete is that it tasks players to “Complete the Movement Yard in under 25 seconds”. Those who have attempted the Movement Yard will attest that this is rather impossible to do.
But it can be done as there are a few tricks players can use to complete the Movement Yard and earn the achievement without much hassle. Once players have managed to complete the Movement Yard within 25 seconds, they will be rewarded with the Greased Lightning achievement.
How to complete the Movement Yard in Halo Infinite?
Before starting, players will need to complete the tutorial which should give players an understanding of how the course is laid out. The tutorial has no timer so players can take as much time as needed to complete it.
Head back to the beginning and confirm with the AI on the pedestal to close the doors before starting. The door will reopen but this time, players will see a timer appear on the screen when they attempt to leave through the doorway.
Players do have the option to do a timed test before attempting to complete the course for the achievement. During the test run, there will be a few dummies to fight which will disappear when you head back to the starting point. Remove them and keep moving ahead.
Once you’re confident to start the course once again, go back again to the start to reset the timer. Players will need to sprint as soon as they exit the doorway before jumping over the sandbags near the wall on the right and then jumping over the pallets.
As soon as players are over the pallets, look up and jump yet again over onto the wall straight ahead of you. Pull yourself over and run to the hole in the wall with a large arrow above it. Crouch over before being dropped down into the tunnel.
Run again along the tunnel where you can see the exit in front of you. If players do encounter dummies in the area, manoeuvre yourself around them, don’t destroy them, before reaching the exit.
Once outside, head straight for the two sandbags and jump onto them to reach a nearby landing. Turn around and look up to find a yellow railing out of your reach.
Close by, there is a small platform and a railing in one corner that you can climb onto. Make your way towards the platform, climb over the railing and go up to the next stairway.
Once you have reached the railing, head up the set of stairs nearby and jump over the yellow railing before sprinting towards the goal. Players should have completed the timed course within 25 seconds however, some players have managed to complete the course around 20-21 seconds on their first run.
What are the rewards for the Greased Lightning Achievement?
Players who have managed to complete the Movement Yard course within 25 seconds will earn the Greased lightning achievement. This achievement will appear onscreen and players will also be rewarded with 10 Gamerscore for their efforts.
