The highly anticipated Halo sequel, Halo Infinite, has been available for a few weeks and it has been well-received by critics and dedicated Halo players. Halo Infinite also stole the heart of YouTube streamer, Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm as he sang the game’s praises on social media.
The Doc does have a fair share of criticism of the game due to several issues such as cheating, aim assist, game crashes and server disconnections that are hampering the game’s success. Even so, the Doc has stated that the developer, 343 Industries, will need to include a battle royale mode if the game is to survive amongst competing titles like Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends and Battlefield 2042.
Dr Disrespect wants a Halo Infinite battle royale
Dr Disrespect is loving every minute of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. Even the game’s social media team acknowledged the Doc’s appreciation for the game, stating that it has a “classic Halo feel".

The Doc expressed concerns that the game may fall out of favour with players if the developer doesn’t add a battle royale mode to its multiplayer playlists. He discussed the potential of a battle royale mode with fellow YouTube streamer, Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar stating it is what the game needs.
“The people saying Halo doesn’t need a battle royale said Battlefield didn’t need one. Now look at where that game is,” Dr Disrespect joked with TimTheTatman. “You have to have one.”
The Doc then elaborated the importance of the battle royale's inclusion in Halo Infinite, greatly emphasising the level design that would go into building the battle royale mode.
“Imagine the design of a battle royale in Halo. Think about all the Halo maps, how they could fit together into one battlefield. Big Team Battle maps would just be the Superstore area of a battle royale map in the game.
“Lord. Think about the space that you’d be jumping into, you’ll fight in. You could fly through it. Halo has always had a nice big ring. Start the game in a spacecraft, land on the ring. Close in that circle on either end. It’s all right there,” the Doc said.
It is clear that Dr Disrespect passionately wants 343 Industries to get to work on the popular game mode. He even revealed to TimTheTatman that he can assist the development team with designing the mode.
“I’d love to design that. I could put my multi-million dollar streaming career on hold. I’m willing to do it, 343, ask for my resume.”
Dr Disrespect campaigning for a battle royale mode in Halo Infinite is something many Halo players are discussing online. As to whether it will materialise is the million-dollar question that 343 Industries can only answer.
