GTA Online Smuggler Plane Event: How to Start, Crash Locations

GTA Online has a lot of content that is in the game. A large majority of the content that is in GTA Online is designed to make you cash quickly when you complete them. With the new San Andreas Mercenaries DLC, players are discovering all of the new money-making methods that the game has to offer. But it is not just what new DLC has to offer that will make you money. There are a lot of random events that players will have to run into that can make their money as well. For example, there is the Smuggler Plane event. Here, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the Smuggler Plane event in GTA Online. This is not the same as Smuggler Trail Plane random event, but something different.

How To Start The Smuggler Plane Event In GTA Online

In case you did not know, the Smuggler Plane event is a random event that you can run into in GTA Online. But like other random events, there are certain parameters you can work around to find the event. You have to be in any session for 35 minutes and then the Smuggler Plane event can start. Then you have to be near a plane spawn point. Here is the spawn point for the Smuggler Plane Event in GTA Online:

• East Vinewood
• Vinewood Hills
• Tataviam Mountains
• San Chianski Mountain
• Raton Canyon

From there, the plane will spawn and then start to go down. It will eventually crash into a body of water for you to collect the goods that they were transporting. Here are the possible crash sites for the Smuggler Plane Event:

• Land Act Reservoir
• Lake Vinewood
• Pacific Ocean, southeast of Coveted Cove
• Alamo Sea
• North Chumash

Smuggler Plane Event Rewards In GTA Online

When participating in these random events, you will not usually get any special items for doing them. Normally, they will give you both money and RP for your troubles. The Smuggler Plane Event is no different. However, there has been a recent change in the Smuggler Plane Event since the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC launched.

According to @TezFunz2 on Twitter, a reliable data miner for GTA Online, they say that the Smuggler Plane event will only give players 2,000 RP instead of 25,000 RP. So the total rewards players will get for the Smuggler Plane Event is $25,000 and 2,000 RP. Not bad for a random event.
