You'll be able to launch these new Drag Races by heading to the blip outside the LS Car Meet, or via Quick Join > Series Modes > Drag Race Series on the in-game phone. How To Drag Race In GTA Online

Drag Races in GTA Online will see you engage in a racing experience that's distinct from the traditional racing formats. In fact—previews suggest that the mode will bear an uncanny resemblance to the old Need For Speed: Underground 2 drag races I used to play.

Before the race begins, you'll need to warm up your tires in a pre-race phase that involves achieving the perfect burnout by staying in the blue zone—the better the burnout, the better traction and headstart you'll have.

Pro Tip: Be careful you don't overdo the burnout phase, as this can lead you to "overcooking" the tires, potentially affecting performance in GTA Online Drag Race.

The race itself is a straight dash to the finish line. However, you'll likely have a chance to gain a speed boost by pressing the B or Circle button when the needle on the gauge is in the blue zone to simulate the timing of gear shifts for better acceleration—a critical aspect of drag racing.

Unlike traditional races in GTA Online, Drag Races will give you full control over the car's steering, including the possibility of executing strategic or disruptive maneuvers, such as blocking or pitting opponents. This adds an element of direct competition and interaction between players during the race.
