Genshin Impact Wild Fairy of Erinnyes Quest Walkthrough Guide

Genshin Impact 4.2 update  brought a brand new Archon quest along with a ton of world quests that you can complete in order to progress in the main story while earning rewards. One of these is The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes World Quest in which you will have to collect Waterdrop Keys and use them to stop Erinnyes from "Melusine-ing".

While most of the quest is straightforward, players find it hard to solve the mechanisms they need to proceed and collect Waterdrop Keys. Thus, here is a complete guide for The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes world quest.

The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes World Quest Walkthrough In Genshin Impact

To begin the quest, go to the Marcotte Station in Fontaine at the location marked on the map above and interact with the Carved Stone Tablet in front of you. A short dialogue series will begin, and after that, you will be asked to "Search for the Foggy Forest Path."

For this, go to the location marked on the map in Foggy Forest Path and then go to the next marked location. You will see a small pillar at the center called the Mysterious Altar. Interact with it and complete the dialogue with Paimon. 

The next task will be to "Reveal the altar's secrets," and this is where players are stuck. In order to complete this task, collect Xenochromatic Ball Octopus abilities by equipping the small water orbs near you. Then go to the huge purple-colored bubbles and use Xenochromatic Ball Octopus abilities to destroy them.

Once done, you will see new bubbles, and you can use the same ability to position them near the three pillars and pop them. You will see their range while you try to change their positions, and if the number of bubbles is less than the number of pillars, you can combine them to increase their size and range.

You will find three such mechanisms near the Mysterious Altar, and you can solve all of them using this method. Now, go back to the Mysterious Altar and pick the item on it i.e. the Teardrop Key. Once done, The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes World Quest will begin. 

Your next goal will be to Search for "key" near the "Weeping Willow" and to do this, go to the next marked location on the map. On the way there, you will have to take the power of Xenocromatic Creature to cut the grass and also, destroy rocks blocking the way.

Once you reach the quest area, destroy the grass at the centre again, and solve the puzzle using the Altar puzzle mechanism as detailed above and pick up the Teardrop Key.

Now go to the next location marked on the map, and destroy all the purple crystals there and pick up the third Teardrop Key from the Altar. Then, you have to defeat the Enraged Vishap and go to the next marked location to place the Teardrop Key on the statue. 

A small cutscene will begin showcasing the newly opened path. Dive down that path and start the mechanism by going near the water ring and keep going to reach the marked location. Destroy all the purple crystals there using Xenochromatic Ball Octopus abilities, and start going with the flow and reach the marked location in order to complete the quest.
