With the update 2.0 of Genshin Impact, “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”, now available worldwide, players have begun to embark on a new journey around the new region of Inazuma, the nation of Eternity known for being the home of the Electro Archon, the Raiden Shogun.
As part of this update, lots of quests and special events will be available to complete around the Inazuma, including the must-do Archon Quests, Worlds Quests, and even some special events based on the new mechanics of the archipelago, like the one we will cover in this guide.
Thunder Sojourn: Details and challenges
In Thunder Sojourn, Muzhen, the Chief Technical Officer of the Inazuman Alcor, will be searching for an important target and urgently needs the help of experienced adventurers, so here is where you will come to the rescue.
To be eligible for this event, you will have to be at least Adventure Rank 30 or above, and have already completed the Archon Quest "Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves," and the "Ritou Escape Plan" quest in "Chapter II: Act I - The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia".
This event will be divided into four acts packed with different challenges, each of them enabled throughout the event period:
Act I: Bolt Blitz - 22nd July
In this act, players will have to follow the prompts and activate mechanisms in order to enter the Bolt Blitz challenge. Travellers may complete six challenges in total, with three new challenges unlocking each day after.
After starting the challenge, the Travellers must use Thunder Spheres to move quickly and reach the destination within the time limit.
As a note, if you are carrying an Electrogranum or you are affected by Electro status, you will be able to move swiftly towards the Thunder Spheres to gain speed. The Electrogranum can be summoned by using the Thunder Sakura Bough.
Act II: Lightning Round - 24th July
As in the previous one, players will have to follow the prompts and activate mechanisms to enter this challenge. After starting the challenge, Travellers will need to defeat all opponents within the time limit.
However, in order to help you defeat all enemies, a Thunder Dwelling will be present wherever you will have to fight. The Thunder Dwelling can be used to release Thunder Shocks in an area of damage, dealing Electro DMG to all characters around it after charging with Electro energy.
Act III: Weaving Lightning - 27th July
This challenge will be similar to the one in Act II, however, this time around, players will have to use a unique mechanic known as the Nimbus Gem.
With the Nimbus Gems, players can gain various buffs depending on the number of Gems linked to them. Travellers can link themselves to these by carrying an Electrograna close to them, or by being affected by Electro status.
Act IV: Automaton Front - 30th July
The final act of the event will also be the hardest one to complete, as players will have to succeed in a brand new Domain where they will face a new boss known as the Perpetual Mechanical Array.
Thankfully, you can complete this challenge in Co-Op mode, so it will be no problem to finish this task if you have good teammates by your side. During the battle, each time the Perpetual Mechanical Array divides, a random number of Thunder Dwellings and Nimbus Gems will appear, which you can use in your favour for the battle.
Once you complete this challenge, you will receive Thunder Crystals you can exchange in the Event Shop. Afterwards, you will be able to find the Perpetual Mechanical Array in a specific area in Inazuma, which you can discover by looking at this complete guide.
Thunder Sojourn: All rewards available
During the entire event, players will collect Thunder Pellets and Crystals which can be used within the Event Shop to unlock special rewards llike the Crown of Insight, Talent Level-Up Materials, Hero's Wit, and more.
Besides, the best rewards of them all will be the opportunity to add the "Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean" Beidou (Electro) for free, by exchanging 1,000 Thunder Pellets and Crystals.
The Thunder Sojourn Event will be active from 22nd July to 9th August, while its Shop will be available until 16th August.
