How To Complete There Will Come Soft Rains Quest in Genshin Impact

Step 1: Ask about the parts in Merusea Village

The first step to start this quest is to talk to Serene, who is located near the entrance of Merusea Village. She will tell you that she needs four strange parts to fix Seymour and that you can find them by helping other Melusines or opening chests near the village. You can also talk to Serene, who is standing next to Mamere, for more information about the parts.

Step 2: Collect strange parts (0/4)

The next step is to collect four strange parts from different sources. You can get them from completing world quests, such as The Lone Phantom Sail, “Hey, This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup…” and Book of Esoteric Revelations, or from two Exquisite Chests near Meruse Village.

You can also help Cosanzeana and Iara, two Melusines who need your assistance with planting and watering flowers. These tasks are marked on your map with blue icons. Once you have collected four strange parts, return to Mamere and give them to her.

Step 3: Find the hiding Melusine nearby

As you walk back to Merusea Village, you will notice a hiding Melusine nearby. She is Melusine, the owner of Seymour. She will tell you that she is looking for a special ore that can make her dreams come true. She will ask you to help her find it and join her team.

Step 4: Cut the Seagrass

Melusine will lead you to another location on your map, where you will find another Melusine who got stuck in a seagrass trap. You need to cut the seagrass with a sword or claymore to free her. She will thank you and tell you that she knows where the ore is.

Step 5: Defeat the Rifthounds

As soon as you touch the ore, a group of Rifthounds will appear and try to stop you from getting it. You need to use the Prismatic Resonance device again to match their elements and defeat them. After you clear them out, talk to Melusine, and she will tell you that she wants to use the ore to create a new world for herself and Seymour.

Step 6: Investigate the ore

The trapped Melusine will take you to another location on your map, where you will find a large crystal that emits a rainbow light. This is the ore that Melusine is looking for. You need to use the Prismatic Resonance device again to investigate the ore and see what it does.

Step 7: Return to Merusea Village

The final step is to return to Merusea Village and talk to Mamere and Melusine. They will thank you for your help and give you your rewards, which include Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and an Ancient Colors: Act II - A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre achievement.
