Genshin Impact Spectral Secrets event: How to play, rewards, missions and more

With the release of the Genshin Impact 2.1 update, miHoYo has been continuously rolling out new events to keep the Travelers engaged. The Spectral Secrets is the latest event in the Genshin Impact, in which players are required to dispatch their characters on multiple expeditions in order to earn free Primogems and other valuable resources. 

Depending on which characters they dispatch, other rewards such as Sanctifying Unction, Talent Level-Up Materials, Character EXP Materials, and even bonuses are also up for grab. Here’s everything you need to know about the Genshin Impact Spectral Secrets event, including its gameplay details, schedule, objectives and more.

Genshin Impact Spectral Secrets event - Schedule & eligibility

The Spectral Secrets event commenced on 19th September and will continue until 26th September in Genshin Impact. However, players can collect the earned rewards till 29th September. Like other events, the Spectral Secrets also come with specific eligibility criteria that players must meet before participating.

Travellers should be at least Adventure Rank 30 or above to be eligible for this event. Moreover, they must have completed the Archon Quest "Ritou Escape Plan" and the "Floating Spirits — The Investigation Begins" quest given by Inazuma's Katheryne.

Genshin Impact – How to complete Spectral Secrets event

As we’ve mentioned earlier, the primary objective of this event is to complete the "Spectral Secrets" expedition commissions to earn the rewards. During this event, Katheryne of the Adventurer's Guild will release seven investigative expedition commissions for "Spectral Secrets" each day, and you can select four of them.

These commissions include one S-rank commission, two A-rank commissions, and four B-rank commissions that refresh each day. S-Rank expedition commissions require you to complete the open-world challenge "Preliminary Investigation" first, then initiate the expedition.

Travelers may enlist one character belonging to a friend on their friend list for every expedition in "Spectral Secrets" as a supporting character for each commission. These characters will boost the probability of obtaining additional rewards. Supporting characters may be selected from any of the characters in a friend's character Showcase.

Travelers can recall dispatched characters, but they cannot grant you rewards. However, they will retain the number of dispatches consumed. It’s also worth noting that the characters cannot be simultaneously dispatched to both regular and "Spectral Secrets" event expeditions.

Players can earn the following rewards in the Genshin Impact after completing the event: 

• Primogems

• Sanctifying Unction

• Talent Level-Up Materials

• Character EXP Materials

• Event bonus rewards

Tip: It is suggested to complete 1 S-rank, 2 A-rank, and 1 B-rank commission to earn the maximum number of Primogems.
