Genshin Impact leaks reveal Dendro character in Archon Quest

Travelers have long been anticipating the arrival of the upcoming Sumeru region and Teyvat's seventh element, Dendro, to Genshin Impact. As a result, multiple rumours have speculated which characters we can expect to see soon.

Thanks to various leaks and the official Genshin Impact manga, we know that only a handful of characters possess this element, with one character, in particular, appearing in a recent Archon Quest. Indeed, this has fueled speculation among Travelers around when HoYoverse will introduce more Dendro characters to the game.

Who is Baizhu in Genshin Impact?

The Dendro element is one of the seven Elements in the game found in nature, with the Pyro element being one of its Elemental Reactions. Recently, this element has seen a prevalence of rumours and leaks suggesting when we could see them introduced in Genshin Impact.

Baizhu, who has already appeared during an Archon Quest chapter, has garnered a reputation throughout the Liyue region. Additionally, thanks to his profession as the owner of Bubu Pharmacy, this lines up various rumours suggesting him to be a possible playable character in future updates.

Baizhu is one of Liyue's most respected figures, noted for his medicinal remedies, having earned the trust of Liyue's residents. While there have been various rumours regarding the character's personality, his medical expertise is renowned by characters like Keqing, Xinyan and Xiao.

Baizhu has developed a close friendship with Qiqi, revealed during the Archon Quest Chapter 1, Act 2 "Guizhiong". Qiqi, who works with Baizhu at the pharmacy, is assisting Baizhu in finding a solution to an unknown disease he suffers from in the hopes of prolonging his life.

What is Baizhou's abilities and weapons in Genshin Impact?

Baizhu's kit has yet to be revealed; however, we do know that he's seen with a Dendro Vision pinned on his clothing. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much information to confirm his kit with his backstory fitting in with a Dendro character.

Some Travelers have stated that due to his ongoing battle with a mysterious illness, his medical background and Dendro element, he could wield a catalyst as a weapon. However, as we already know what the character looks like in-game, we can't say the same for his combat skills which remains a mystery.

When will Baizhu arrive in Genshin Impact?

As mentioned earlier, Baizhu has yet to be made a playable character in Genshin Impact due to him carrying a Dendro Vision. With Yaoyao being the other rumoured Dendro character, the identities of additional Dendro characters has been a safe-guarded secret for HoYoverse.

As a result, there haven't been any plans for the developers as of writing when Travelers are expected to see Dendro characters in-game.

With rumours suggesting the Sumeru region arriving in the 3.0 update, we'll have to wait to introduce the first Dendro character after The Chasm's launch.
