Genshin Impact Fleeting Colors in Flight event: Gameplay, rewards and more

Fleeting Colors in Flight is the upcoming Lantern Rite rerun event for the 2.4 update in Genshin Impact. As residents prepare themselves for the elaborate celebrations, Travelers can participate in all the festivities happening at the Lantern Rite Festival.

As the festival welcomes new visitors to the Jade Chamber, there are themed challenges that Travelers can complete to earn a bountiful of rewards. This guide will detail all the themes included in the Fleeting Colors in Flight event, their gameplay details, and rewards.

How to join the Fleeting Colors in Flight event?

Travelers who wish to participate in the Fleeting Colors in Flight event must meet specific requirements to complete each theme and earn their respective rewards. These requirements are the following:

• Hold Adventure Rank 28 and higher
• Complete Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III "A New Star Approaches"
• Complete Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act I "The Crane Returns on the Wind"

The Fleeting Colors in Flight event will start on 25th January 2022 at 10 am server time before concluding on 12th February 2022 at 3:59 am server time.

This event is split into four themed events: Flameplume Starflowers, Wonderous Shadows, The Great Gathering and Oceanic Defender, with the addition of the Prosperous Partnerships event.

Flameplume Starflowers: gameplay details

The first event theme, Flameplume Starflowers, is a firework production challenge where Travelers will need to produce fireworks based on their quality to obtain rewards. They will receive the "Launch Tube" at the beginning of the event, which is added to their inventory upon completion.

There are a few guidelines they'll need to meet to obtain the right quality of fireworks. Get the best rating which is affected by the following:

• Parameters: meet several firework quality parameters, including colour, size and height of the fireworks, which will improve its Quality Rating
• Smelting techniques: specific techniques can either improve or deteriorate the Quality Rating. Some techniques will only be available once Travelers obtain a particular score.
• Firepower: by monitoring the Launch Tube's Firepower value which can influence the Firepower quality of the firework

At the start of the production challenge, they will receive a specific amount of endurance consumed by a smelting technique. Travelers can no longer use other smelting techniques to produce the fireworks if the endurance depletes.

What rewards can be earned in the Flameplume Starflowers event?

Once this event is completed, they can earn several rewards, including various fireworks, Affluence Talismans, Primogems, Hero's Wit and Mystic Enhancement Ore. Travelers can exchange their Affluence Talismans for other rewards like fireworks, Hero's Wit and Character Level-Up Materials.

To launch the fireworks in a public space, go to the Launch tube and select the Modification option. Then choose the fireworks you wish to set off and have fun during the Lantern Rite Festival.

The Great Gathering: gameplay details

The next theme event, The Great Gathering, will task Travelers with collecting resources from enemies they defeat at Guyun Stone Forest. As they are salvaging resources from these fallen foes, they can unlock various challenges, which are as follows:

• Interrogation by Night
• Curio Salvage
• Midpoint Interception
• Return to Safe Harbor
• The Key Catch

Once these challenges have been completed, they can salvage the resources before continuing the event. There will be Waverider Waypoints to unlock during the event, summoning a Waverider to help Travelers finish off challenges when at sea. These Waveriders can only spawn near Guyun Stone Forest as if it goes beyond its boundaries; it will be sent back to its respawn area.

Elite Treasure Hoarders, found in encampments at Guyun Stone Forest, can buff themselves to increase their DEF stats. To neutralise their buffs, use Quelling Fireworks from firework boxes found at their camps to inflict AoE Pyro DMG.

What rewards can be earned in The Great Gathering event?

For completing this event, Travelers can obtain various rewards, including Immaculate Talismans, Primogems, Hero's Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Mora and the Bountiful Year recipe. They can exchange the Immaculate Talismans at the Event Shop for additional rewards like the Lantern Rite event-exclusive Furnishing Blueprints.

Wondrous Shadows: gameplay details

The Wondrous Shadows is the third theme in the Fleeting Colors in Flight event, which they'll need to locate Yuan Rong before starting this theme. Utilising shadows and lantern lights in this puzzle game, Travelers will need to adjust the angles of the Shadow Lantern to form an image to solve the puzzle.

As they'll get closer to solving the riddle, they will increase their riddle-solving progress. Once the challenge lapses a specific time, they'll unlock a hint that will help them make progress in solving the puzzle. When the riddle-solving progress reaches 100%, the puzzle will be solved and the challenge completed.

What rewards can be earned in the Wondrous Shadows event?

Once they have solved the riddle and completed the challenge, Travelers can obtain rewards that include Affluence Talismans, Primogems, Hero's Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore and Mora. These Affluence Talismans can be exchanged for other rewards from the Event Shop.

Oceanic Defender: gameplay details

The fourth theme in the Fleeting Colors of Flight event will see the Travelers exploring an underwater lair to defeat a mysterious monster that threatens the safety of Liyue. There are various challenges to be completed during the Oceanic Defender theme

What rewards can be earned in the Oceanic Defender theme?

With all the challenges completed, Travelers can obtain rewards such as Conquest Talismans, Primogems, Hero's Wit and Mora. They can use the Conquest Talismans at the Event Shop to exchange other available rewards.

Prosperous Partnerships: gameplay details

During the Prosperous Partnerships theme, Travelers will need to meet specific event-exclusive requirements, which they'll need to earn Affluence and Conquest Talismans as rewards. Once they have reached 1,000 Affluence and Conquest Talismans and completed the "The Stars Inscribe the Year's Wishes" Lantern Rite quest to exchange Affluence and Conquest Talismans for a 4-star Liyue character.

What rewards can be earned in the Prosperous Partnerships theme?

Once they have received the required Affluence and Conquest Talismans, they can exchange them for only one of the following 4-star Liyue characters:

• Xiangling
• Beidou
• Xingqiu
• Ningguang
• Chongyun
• Xinyan
• Yun Jin
• Yanfei

Additionally, they will also earn Ningguang's "Orchid's Evening Gown" outfit during the Fleeting Colors in Flight event by meeting three specific event requirements:

• Receive 2,400 Affluence Talismans
• Receive 2,200 Immaculate Talismans
• Receive 1,800 Conquest Talismans

The outfit will be available from the Character Outfit Shop for 1,680 Genesis Crystals after the Fleeting Colors in Flight event.
