Genshin Impact Farewell to the Past quest - How to complete

Farewell to the Past is a new quest added in Genshin Impact 2.5 update. It is a part of the Raiden Shogun story quest and takes place at the Narukami Island in Inazuma. In this quest, you will have to fight Raiden Shogun boss and beat her to earn rewards including 600 Adventure EXP, 44000 Mora, five Hero’s Wit and 10 Enhancement Ores. 

It's a simple quest; however, you can follow this guide to progress and complete the Farewell to the Past quest if you are stuck somewhere. 

Genshin Impact: How to complete Farewell to the Past (Continue the Pursuit) quest

Travelers need to head to the teleport waypoint in the Northwestern Araumi of the Narukami Island in the Inazuma Region to start the quest. After reaching the quest area, you need to use the elemental vision and follow the blue trail marks, which will lead to the ledge of the mountain.

You will then need to use your Wind Gliders and glide down to the beachside. Then you will have to go to the final checkpoint inside a cave in the northwest beach area of Narukami Island.

Once you reach the cave, you need to fight with the Rifthounds and defeat them. Once you do that, a short cutscene will start where the Fukari Samurai will protect Raiden Ei. You need to support the Samurai to defeat the Rifthounds and protect Shogun, and after that, she will ask you to go to the Cave below the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Teleport to the Grand Narukami Shrine, head to the edge of the mountain, and glide through with the help of your Gliding Wings cave below it.

After you reach inside the cave, another short cutscene will start, and a Torii Gate will appear, and Shogun will ask to enter the gate along with her. Once you enter the gate, you will have a dialogue with Raiden Shogun, and you will then have to fight against her. Once the fight is over, the Farewell to the Past quest will be completed.
