The new Genshin Impact 3.8 update called Secret Summer Paradise is releasing soon bringing new features to the game like Multi-Layered Map, Quest Tracking Optimization, etc, as well as characters and weapons banner rerun. One of these is the much-awaited Eula rerun, a character from the Mondstadt region known for being silent but also with great abilities for the battle that combines some of her dance skills.
Even if in her veins runs the blood of some of Mondstadt’s biggest oppressors, and some may even say her intentions inside the Knights of Favonius are evil, she spends most of the time hunting down Abyss Order operatives and other monsters. Let’s introduce "Dance of the Shimmering Wave" Eula.
Eula’s backstory
Since her arrival to the order of the Knights of Favonius, the presence of Captain Eula Lawrence has not gone unnoticed by the people of Mondstadt, as this last name is connected to the evil aristocrats of historical infamy who brought terror to the region during its darkest times.
However, her objective being of the order is nothing close to what people expect, even if she jokes around the “evil” intentions she might have, as her role is mostly focused on stopping the advance and control the presence of every single threat that endangers Mondstadt, although she has had a difficult time just to hang around the city.
Her nickname “Spindrift Knight” comes from her fighting style, as her fluid movements around the battlefield, along with her tremendous strength to wield a Claymore and combined with her great courage and excellent intuition, makes her one of the strongest elements around Teyvat being on par with the Grand Master Jean.
Genshin Impact: Eula’s abilities

Her normal attack, Favonius Bladework - Edel, allows Eula to perform up to five consecutive strikes, while with her charged attack, she can consume Stamina over time to do continuous slashes, ending with a more powerful strike.
With her elemental skill, Icetide Vortex, Eula can slash around her dealing Cryo DMG to all enemies nearby. With each hit she connects, you will gain a stack of Grimheart up to two times, which increases her resistance to interruption and DEF’s stats.
These stacks can be consumed by holding her ability, making Eula lash forward and deal AoE Cryo DMG to all enemies in front, also reducing nearby opponents Physical and Cryo RES and converting each consumed stack into an Icewhirl Brand that will hit the floor.

Finally with her elemental burst, Glacial Illumination, Eula brandishes her greatsword dealing Cryo DMG to all nearby opponents and creates a Lightfall Sword that will follow her for seven seconds.
While present, the Lightfall Sword will increase Eula’s resistance to interruption and every time she deals damage to opponents, the sword will gain an energy stack. Once the time is over, the Lightfall Sword will descend and explode making Physical DMG to all enemies around according to how many energy stacks you accumulated.
Best weapons for Eula in Genshin Impact
The Song of Broken Pines:
(Picture: miHoYo)
Starting with the best 5-star weapon for her, the arrival of Eula will bring into the game her signature greatsword known as the Song of Broken Pines, a powerful Claymore that drastically enhances her offensive stats.
This new weapon has a Physical DMG Bonus, as well as a passive that increases ATK by 16%, and when a Normal or Charged Attack hits opponents, the character will gain a Sigil of Whispers.
When having four of these, all of them will be consumed to obtain the “Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn” effect for 12 seconds, which increases Normal ATK SPD by 12% and ATK by 20%.
Skyward Pride:

The Skyward Pride is a Claymore that symbolizes the pride of Dvalin soaring through the skies. When swung, it emits a deep hum as the full force of Dvalin's command of the sky and the wind is unleashed.
With its ability, it increases passively all DMG by 8/10/12/14/16%. And after using an Elemental Burst, Normal or Charged Attack, on hit, it will create a vacuum blade that does 80/100/120/140/160% of ATK as DMG to opponents along its path. It will last for 20 seconds or eight vacuum blades.
Serpent Spine:

This 4-star Catalyst is known for being a rare weapon whose origin is the ancient ocean. Some say you can hear the sound of the ageless waves as one swings it.
The Serpent Spine allows that every four seconds a character is on the field, they will deal 6/7/8/9/10% more DMG and take 3/2.7/2.4/2.2/2% more DMG.
This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Pale Flame:

As the main choice for her artifacts, we will recommend the latest introduction in Update 1.5, the Pale Flame set, as it will increase considerably the power of your physical attacks by 25% when having 2 pieces of it.
If you manage to get four pieces of this set, whenever your Elemental Skill hits an opponent, your ATK will be increased by 9% for seven seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times and can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds. Once 3 stacks are reached, the 2-set effect will also be increased by 100%.
If you don’t have all pieces, they can be combined from the Bloodstained Chivalry set, which likewise increases physical damage and temporarily eliminates the cost of charged attacks.

Recommended team composition for Eula
Within any team comp, Eula will be the main damage dealer, while also spreading her Cryo power using her elemental skill and burst, to be capable of build many Elemental Reactions along with the teammates we will recommend below:
- Fischl (Electro): Using her crow Ox, she can provide additional damage spreading constant superconduct reaction that can debuff nearby enemies.
- Diona (Cryo) or Bennett (Pyro): Both of them can support your team by giving heals, shields, and increase the overall power of your party with buffs in both physical and elemental damage.
Any Pyro character like Xiangling and Amber can be very useful as these can trigger Melt reactions, dealing stronger damage.
