The plucky adventurer has come a long way from his early days of being dismissed as a low-tier Diluc wannabe. Now Bennett is considered one of the absolute best Enablers and Supports in Genshin Impact, with a mean damage streak to work with as well.
Genshin Impact Bennett guide
Weapons
First on the list for kitting out the unluckiest adventurer in Mondstadt is a weapon. Here are a few great options:
Aquila Favonia

Out and out the best Sword you can get for Bennett. A host of damage options from Base ATK to a 20% ATK increase from Falcon’s Defiance up his DPS considerably, while the healing and revenge damage from the Falcon of the West doubles down on his healing potential and also keep him closer to that critical 70% HP mark for the ATK Bonus from Fantastic Voyage.
Favonius Sword

A great option if you want to index heavily into Bennett’s utility - specifically his Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage. Favonius Sword offers great Energy Recharge to make sure Fantastic Voyage is up as often as possible, backed up by Windfall increasing the number of Elemental Particles Bennett receives.
A fantastic choice for a Bennet that wants to focus on healing and enabling.
Skyward Blade
(Picture: miHoYo)
Much like the Favonius Sword Skyward Blade offers great Energy Recharge, but also brings a lot more pain after Bennet uses his Elemental Burst with Sky-Piercing Fang. Movement SPD, ATK SPD, and a raw damage amp to his basic attacks make Bennet a fantastic Burst Carry threat with this weapon, and still allows him to act as a great Enabler and Healer.
Some other great weapon choices include The Flute, Lion’s Roar, and the Sacrificial Sword. If you’ve been unlucky with your gacha rolls, then Prototype Rancour and Skyrider Sword are viable choices, too.
Artifacts
You can even look towards EM if you want. (Picture: miHoYo)
For an Enabler or even a Healer build for Bennett, one of the most potent - and easy to acquire - builds is to go for a 2/2 Split between The Exile and Scholar for +40% Energy Recharge. This build is all about making sure you have Fantastic Voyage, and therefore the healing and ATK boost from Inspiration Field, available as often as possible. You can also switch one half of the set out for Maiden Beloved, if you want more healing power.
In a similar vein, Full Noblesse Oblige works around both making sure Fantastic Voyage hits hard and then adds a further 20% ATK boost to all party members, synergising with Inspiration Field’s own ATK boost. This hits even harder if you’re running double Pyro, for the ATK boost from Elemental Resonance.
Full Gladiator’s Finale or a 2/2 Split with Bloodstained Chivalry are top of the list for a DPS build for Bennett - both offer great Attack stats for his Elemental Skill to scale off and amp his normal attacks and is particularly potent once Constellation Level 4 is unlocked.
However, for a Pyro reaction focused team (particularly a Melt comp with Chongyun) you really want to get a hold of Full Crimson Witch of Flames. The 2-piece set effect granting +15% Pyro DMG is great, but combine that with the additional damage for all Pyro Elemental Reactions and a boost from that +15% Pyro DMG by up to an additional 150% after using an Elemental Skill from the 4-piece set effect and this is a monstrous artifact set with the right team comp.

Artifact Stats
Unlike many of our other guides with largely subtle shifts in stat priorities, Bennett has very different stat priorities between a DPS focus and Support focus.
Core to that is that Bennett’s Elemental Burst healing only scales off HP while its damage amp only scales off his Base Attack - i.e. his base stats plus his weapon’s base attack stat. That means if you’re playing Bennett for his supportive qualities aggressive stats like Attack and Crit are largely unhelpful and vice versa.
In other words, time to make some hard decisions:
DPS Stat Priorities
- Crit Rate (50~%)
- Crit DMG
- Pyro DMG Goblet (Burst DMG) or
- Physical DMG Goblet (Sustained DPS)
- Energy Recharge
- HP
- ATK and Elemental Mastery
Support/Enabler Stat Priorities
- HP
- Energy Recharge
- Healing Bonus % Circlet
- Elemental Mastery
If you do want to run a damage goblet on an Enabler Bennett, Pyro is preferred.
Play Patterns
(Picture: miHoYo and @Sunny)
As one of the rising stars within the Genshin Impact meta-game, such as it is, Bennett’s play patterns have started to come more to light. Most of it comes down to utilising his absolutely absurdly powerful Elemental Burst
Fantastic Voyage offers damage, healing, an attack buff and cleanses negative elements from teammates by applying Pyro - all in an AoE field. That alone would put Bennett in consideration for any team comp. In some ways, it really is just his Burst team comps care about.
It synergises well with so many other characters - Chongyun’s Frost Field for an incredible Melt combo, Mona’s Stellaris Phantasm for 500k crits in Abyss, double Pyro comps with Diluc or Klee…
The list is extensive. Of course, there is more to Bennett than that, one of the more important of which is getting the most out of his Elemental Skill. Holding for max damage (especially once you get Fearnaught from Ascending) is often attractive, but you do want to be aware of how easy it is to abuse its potential as a Battery.
Once you’ve unlocked Fearnaught and Rekindle, Passion Overload has a roughly 2~s CD on press while in Fantastic Voyage (as opposed to lengthier CDs from holding). That means it's exceptionally spammable while in the Inspiration Field, generating two Elemental Orbs per swing. That is both incredible for shredding Cryo Shields and acting as an Energy Battery for your team, charging everyone’s Elemental Bursts in extremely quick fashion.
As a final note of caution, while Bennet has very good Constellation Level abilities, be wary of going from C5 to C6 blindly - converting all melee attacks into Pyro can actually hinder rather than help a lot of team comps e.g. Melt Comps with Chongyun.
That’s it, adventurer. We wish you better fortune than Bennett!
