Genshin Impact’s 2.2 update is now available and includes a new batch of events, 5-star re-run banners, and also introduces a brand-new Inazuman island into the game for players to explore and enjoy.
These aren't the only features introduced as part of this new update. Per an announcement by developers, miHoYo, a few months ago, the “Savior from Another World” Aloy is now available for free via in-game mail, after its first release exclusively for PlayStation users.
To celebrate this accolade, which forms part of the collaboration between Sony and miHoYo, the Genshin Impact developers have announced a new special web event, where players will be able to witness Aloy's journey and her arrival in Teyvat from the dystopian world of Horizon Zero Dawn.
Aloy's Exploration Journal: How to Enter
To take part in Aloy's Exploration Journal web event, you must have a miHoYo account, as well as a character created with an Adventure Rank 20 or above on any of the main game servers.
Once you have everything ready, you must enter this website, log in to your miHoYo account, and select your current server and main character. In case you play on either the PS4 or PS5 gaming consoles, you will have to enter from the Mail section within the game’s menu.
After you do this, you will have to click the “Begin Exploring” prompt below the event’s title, which will take you to a special interface, featuring Aloy’s journal.
At first, you will only have access to the Mondstadt one, while those corresponding to the Dragonspine Mountain and Liyue will be unlocked tomorrow and two days later, respectively.
Starting with Mondstadt, you will have to click on the Exploration button in the middle of the map. This will start a series of selections where you will control Aloy’s movement, allowing her to explore more areas from this region.
As you pick your choices, Aloy will start learning about some of the region’s specialities. This includes many of its points of interest or even some random trivia, which also increases her Exploration Progress bar.
In the end, Aloy will have to face some of the dangers found around Teyvat, with her first opponent being a powerful Ruin Guard. You will have to help her by answering some questions about these enemies, giving her some tips to defeat them with no problem.
After you finish exploring each of the regions, you will be able to redeem some rewards, including Primogems and Shivada Jade Fragments, which you can use to ascend Aloy within the game.
Lastly, by sharing the web event’s page, you will also earn 20,000 Mora that will be sent to your account shortly after.
Aloy's Exploration Journal web event will be available from 13th to 27th October.
