Forza Horizon 5 is celebrating the start of the Chinese New Year with the arrival of Chinese influences in-game. Players can expect new content, balance changes and more incoming with the next update in February 2022.
With the current Spring season underway in Forza Horizon 5, the game’s Chinese website outlined new content and events arriving in the Series 4 update. The Series 4 update will introduce the arrival of the game’s first Chinese cars, including a new supercar to get speed enthusiasts excited.
Let’s take a look at all the cars arriving in Forza Horizon 5 latest update.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 4: 2016 NIO EP9
The first Chinese manufactured supercar, the NIO EP9, has developed quite the reputation, having set record-breaking feats on the world’s renowned racing circuits globally. Powered by an all-electric powertrain system with individual motors generating up to 1,360 horsepower (HP), the NIO EP9 is a beast of a supercar that can be experienced on the tracks.
With the vast open roads at the Horizon Festival, players can unleash this beast onto the asphalt as they continue to explore the wonders of Mexico. The Chinese supercar can be redeemed during the Series 4 Summer “Rainy” Season for 45 Forzathon points (PTS) between 3rd-9th February 2022.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 4: 2013 Wuling Hongguang S
For years, this Chinese manufacturer has powered the agricultural and small and micro-businesses with their fleet of minivans and commercial cars. The Wuling Hongguang has been the manufacturer’s best-selling car since its launch in 2002.
The 2013 model, the Wuling Hongguang S, received technical upgrades while being powered by a tiny 1.2-litre engine that generates an output of 82 HP.
While not the type of vehicle you’ll see pull up to a race meeting, the Wuling Hongguang S can maximise its performance capabilities to secure a victory at the finish line with the proper performance upgrades.
The 2013 Wuling Hongguang S will be available during Series 4’s Fall Season between 10th-16th February 2022 by redeeming 45 Forzathon PTS.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 4: 2005 MG XPower SV-R
This British manufacturer was heavily inspired by the Ford Mustang when designing the car’s aesthetics. It wanted to appeal to American audiences; therefore, it initially debuted as a concept car before launching in 2005 with a more striking design.
While MG eventually produced only 82 cars, the XPower SV-R became quite niche that production of this car was terminated when MG Rover went out of business in 2005. The MG XPower SV-R will become available via the Vehicle Pass on 10th February 2022
Forza Horizon 5 Series 4: 2015 MG MG3
This second-generation subcompact car, produced by the SAIC, is currently marketed as the MG MG3 as it's retailed by an MG Motor subsidiary. The car was advertised as an affordable family sedan for everyday travelling, and the sporty subcompact car comes with a 1.5-litre engine pushing out a modest 105 HP.
Many car enthusiasts would’ve hoped for the MG3 Trophy Championship concept car or the MG3 facelift instead of the MG3. So, it is a rare occasion that this car will feature in a racing game. It can be redeemed for 45 Forzathon PTS during the Spring “Hot” Season from 24th February to 2nd March 2022.
We'll have more info about the next series coming very soon. Stay tuned!
