The Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Movie will begin filming on 27 October, according to Matthew Lillard in an interview by ComicBook.com. Lillard will once again take on the role of William Afton - aka Springtrap - in the sequel. The first movie was filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana, and it seems quite likely that the sequel will be, too.
In addition to the news about filming starting soon, fans have gotten some sneak peeks at the movie's animatronics in some X/Twitter posts from Scott Cawthon. Fans have a lot to get excited about, given the number of recent sneak peeks surrounding the FNAF 2 movie.
Thankfully, while it'll be a bit of a wait to check out the finished product, fans at least have a concrete Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie release date to look forward to. The Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Movie is set to release in theaters on 5 December 2025, and will be rated PG-13. Created by Blumhouse, it's the highly-anticipated sequel to the original Five Nights at Freddy's movie, based on the popular game franchise started by Scott Cawthon back in 2014.
