Today, Five Nights at Freddy's series creator Scott Cawthon announced an excitement-filled August FNAF lineup featuring new games, DLCs, and interviews to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary.
The full August lineup includes a demo for The Joy of Creation (a remake of the original), a free interactive novel, and announcements surrounding a Steel Wool collaboration. Steel Wool Games are the developers of FNAF: Security Breach, as well as the Help Wanted games; the upcoming announcement could be new DLCs for those titles, or even a new game announcement.
The 10th anniversary celebration culminates on 8th August, which marks the official release of the next FNAF game, Into the Pit. Into the Pit got its first trailer, along with an accompanying promotional website, just two weeks ago after it was leaked back in January.
Cawthon noted that some movie updates may be "sprinkled in" as well throughout the event, with the upcoming release of the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie. (The movie currently has a December 2025 release date.) He also suggested that "the list may change" as the anniversary nears.
While there's a decisive announcement planned for almost every day of the week-long event, the 6 of August seems to be a secret collab, leaving fans to wonder what it may be. Fortnite's v30.40 update - the final update of the season - also goes live on that date, leading many to believe that a Fortnite x FNAF collab might be in the works.
With a week full of new Five Nights at Freddy's updates, the 10th anniversary in August is sure to have lots of great surprises in store for fans.
