FFXIV Online Patch 6.2 Buried Memory – Release Date, Quests, Updates

Publisher and developer Square Enix hosted the Letter from the Producer presentation on 12th August 2022. The livestream, broadcasted on the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitch and YouTube channels, spotlighted the next content update for the MMORPG, Patch 6.2 Buried Memory.

The patch update is arriving later this month as Square Enix released the official trailer and their Special Site is now live. Here's everything about the upcoming patch update, including its release date, trailer, new content, and miscellaneous updates.

Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 6.2 Buried Memory – Release Date And Trailer

The upcoming content update for Final Fantasy XIV Online, Buried Memory, was announced during the Letter from the Producer presentation on 12th August 2022. Patch 6.2 Buried Memory will launch on PC and PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles on 23rd August 2022.

The official trailer for the Buried Memory content update was unveiled during the Letter from the Producer presentation. The trailer showcased plenty of new Scenario Quests, Challenges, Trials, and more.

Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 6.2 Buried Memory – New Story Quest, Dungeon & Challenge

The latest patch update will introduce many new quests, dungeons, challenges, and trials coming soon to the popular MMORPG title. According to the patch's Special Site description, "Five millennia ago, the great wyrm Azdaja vanished into the void, and for long years Vrtra had despaired of being reunited with his dear sister."

"With the encouragement of his people, however, he has found the resolve to search for her and sets forth with the Warrior of Light for a world engulfed in Darkness…."

Patch 6.1 Newfound Adventure welcomed a new saga for Final Fantasy XIV after concluding the Endwalker chapter, and it appears that the Buried Memory update will continue from Patch 6.1. This will also see the continuation of a few side quests Tataru's Grand Endeavor and Further Hildabrand Adventures, which the latter will be arriving in Patch 6.25.

Wildlife, fauna, and flora will be abundant in a brand new Challenge, Island Sanctuary. With a glorious view and inspiration awaiting you on the island, players can invite their online friends to visit the island and relax in tranquility.

The activities available on the island are on the casual spectrum, and players can complete them alone. The challenge looks similar to Stardew Valley, where you can explore the location, meet its residents, and plant crops for a more relaxing gaming experience.

Square Enix will also introduce a new Dungeon, The Fell Court of Troia; however, little is known about this dungeon event. Based on the description from the Special Site, we know that players will party together to utilize a submerged rift to travel to a "shadowed castle."
