Just before the Teams of the Season (TOTS) promotion dropped in FIFA Mobile, developer and publisher Electronic Arts has banned over 10,000 FIFA Mobile players. These players have been suspended for three weeks, meaning they will miss out on the TOTS promotion, and thereby, some of the strongest cards available. The banned FIFA Mobile players are, according to EA, in violation of the rules.
FIFA Mobile players banned
On Twitter, the official FIFA Mobile account revealed that over 10,000 players were banned.
EA states: "We've temporarily suspended over 10,000 players that have cheated in PvE/AI matches. These suspensions will last 3 weeks."
Some players are not happy with this move. Many are claiming they are innocent, while others say it is a bug that got them banned.
According to the rules linked in the Tweet, cheating can constitute but is not limited to: "using external tools, performing in-game exploits, and abusing glitches or bugs."

In the rules, EA explains: "Games are at their best when everyone can play on a level playing field. Cheating, phishing, hacking, or anything else that gives you a competitive advantage ruins the experience for everyone and impacts the game balance."
Unfortunately, it appears as if many FIFA Mobile players are confused about their ban, calling for EA to provide them with the exact reason.

The Community TOTS promotion in FIFA Mobile is set to start on 29th April. This includes powered-up squads from the La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League and much more.
Those suspended due to breaking the rules and cheating in AI matches won't be able to take part in the promotion, of course, which probably hurts a lot more than a three-week break from the game.
