DreamHack Announces New Festival In Stockholm

With DreamHack having taken off world-wide, hosting events and festivals from San Diego to Melbourne, India, and Tokyo, and numerous cities around its home country of Sweden, it seems the festival is set to expand even further. 

A brand new festival, called DreamHack Stockholm, is set to take place on November 22-24 at Stockholmsmässan. The city will serve as the perfect landing point to bring players from all over the world to Sweden's capital.

Of the new festival, Shahin Zarrabi, Vice President of Festivals at ESL FACEIT Group said, "Bringing DreamHack to Stockholm is not just another expansion, it’s a personal mission. Gaming simply belongs here. We’re weaving a new thread in the city’s cultural tapestry, celebrating the unique spirit that makes gaming in Stockholm so special. From content creators & talented cosplayers to the newest games & hardware and best esports, we’re creating an arena for everyone to celebrate their community”.

Stockholm has cemented itself as one of the most important cities in gaming over the years, having brought to life numerous iconic titles such as Mojang Studios' Minecraft, DICE's Battlefield, and more. 

So just how will DreamHack Stockholm elevate the DreamHack brand? The festival will be held in  Stockholmsmässan, is the largest exhibition facility in the Nordic region. It will also be teaming up with numerous organizations, including returning presenting partner Elgiganten.

DreamHack Stockholm will no doubt be an exciting next step for the brand, following on from the continued success of DreamHack Winter, held in the city of Jönköping. This year's DreamHack Winter took place on 23 November – 26 November, 2023, and featured such partners as Elgiganten, Monster Energy, Intel, PC Game Pass, and more. 

Stockholm will be the second festival stop for DreamHack in Sweden, whilst Jönköping will remain the setting for DreamHack Summer on June 14-16. Tickets for DreamHack Stockholm are set to go on sale at March 26, 2024, and can be purchased via dreamhack.com/stockholm.
