Dota 2 ESL Stockholm Major 2022 format
With Chinese teams unable to attend, there will now be two groups of seven teams each for the Group Stage.
This is a single round-robin format where all matches are best-of-two. The top four teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the 5th and 6th place teams advance to the lower bracket. The seventh team is eliminated.
This will be followed by a double-elimination playoffs bracket. All matches are best-of-three, with the exception of the grand finals, which is a best-of-five affair.

ESL Stockholm Major 2022 schedule - dates & times
The ESL Stockholm Major 2022's schedule in terms of times is still up in the air, but since it takes place in Sweden, we expect daily matches to begin at a great time for those watching from Europe.
The dates for the ESL Stockholm Major 2022 starts with the Group Stage from 12th to 17th May 2022. This will be followed by the playoffs stage from 18th to 22nd May 2022. Only the final two days of play will be in front of the crowd judging by promotional material for the tickets.

First up, it is important to note that the qualified Chinese teams won't be competing. This was announced on 29th April 2022 by Perfect World, due to the current situation in China.

ESL Stockholm Major 2022 prize pool distribution
Teams at the ESL Stockholm Major 2022 are competing for a $500,000 USD total prize pool and their share of the 3,530 Pro Circuit points.
Only the top eight teams, however, will get a piece of that tasty prize pool and some DPC points. Check out the tournament's prize pool distribution below.
- 1st place - $200,000 and 680 DPC points.
- 2nd place - $100,000 and 610 DPC points.
- 3rd place - $75,000 and 530 DPC points.
- 4th place - $50,000 and 460 DPC points.
- 5th & 6th place - $25,000 and 385 DPC points.
- 7th & 8th place - $12,500 and 240 DPC points.
