Need help climbing the ranks? This guide will detail the most broken hero combos in Dota 2 patch 7.36. Following the introduction of Innates and Facets, the gameplay meta has shifted dramatically, with many heroes seeing a sharp spike in their win and pick rates.
But the real question is: how do you capitalize on these changes? That's where we come in. Whether you're looking for a high-damage duo or an upper hand, we've got some top-tier hero combos to use in Dota 2 patch 7.36.
What Are The Top Hero Combos In Dota 2 Patch 7.36?
There are loads of interesting hero combinations in Dota 2 patch 7.36. Here are a few standout options to try in your pub and ranked games.
Io and Witch Doctor
Looking for an unkillable combo? Io's Tether combined with Witch Doctor's Voodoo Restoration doubles the healing effect and ensures that both heroes survive pretty much anything that gets thrown at them. The combo works super well if Witch Doctor is the offlaner (I know, it's unconventional, but it works), particularly if you select Headhunter Facet, which increases his Paralyzing Cask damage by 35 per bounce. Ouch!
Terrorblade and Grimstroke
This next hero combo is a bit of a meme. Terrorblade's Condemned Facet removes the "Minimum Health" threshold for enemies, allowing him to effectively Sunder enemies to 1 HP. Combined with Grimstroke's Soul Bind, it means you can pretty much delete two enemy heroes instantly. You might want to pick up an Armlet of Mordiggian to ensure you aren't killed before getting your Sunder off and a Blink Dagger or Shadow Blade to help you initiate the combo. It's a high-risk play, but it's totally doable.
Pro Tip: Have Grimstroke use Inkswell on you before you initiate the combo. The Ink Tendrils DPS should kill them immediately after you Sunder. Otherwise, you can purchase a Dagon to burst both of them down.
Winter Wyvern and Spirit Breaker
Winter Wyvern and Spirit Breaker both offer XP bonuses, which can significantly boost the levels of allies. Specifically, Wyvern's Eldwurm Scholar Innate ensures that the three heroes who would not benefit from a Wisdom Rune will gain 20% of the experience. On the other hand, Spirit Breaker's Herd Mentality provides the hero with the least XP a 50% bonus. Together, these Innates can rapidly boost the leveling of your allied heroes.
Faceless Void and Shadow Fiend
Faceless Void's new Time Zone Facet changes his ultimate. And yes, I know it isn't everybody's cup of tea—but it's incredibly powerful when paired with the right heroes! While it alters a few attack and spell mechanics, the most significant change is the +40/50/60% increased cast speed for allies. This change basically allows Shadow Fiend to insta-Requim, especially if SF selects the "Feast of Souls Grants +40% Cast Speed" Level 25 Talent.
Warlock and Spirit Breaker
Spirit Breaker’s Herd Mentality Innate Ability grants a 50% bonus XP to the lowest level on the team (including himself). At the same time, Warlock's Black Grimoire Facet gives him a bonus of 250 XP per charge for kills or assists. The strategy is simple: Warlock accumulates charges for Black Grimoire and, when activated, will gain a significant XP boost if he is at the lowest level. This can catapult Warlock's level rapidly, helping him get high-level Golems up for an early siege.
