How to upgrade gear and weapons in Diablo Immortal

Every Diablo Immortal player wants their character to rise up above the rest in power, allowing them to top the leaderboards and be one of the best players in the game.

But in order to do well in Diablo Immortal, you'll need to know how to upgrade your gear and weapons - and you'll need to do it often. In this guide, we'll explain how you can level up your gear and weapons in Diablo Immortal so you can do well and conquer the rest.

How to upgrade gear and weapons in Diablo Immortal

In Diablo Immortal, "upgrading" an item is to add a rank to it, which increases the item's stats. Upgrading your items is important as it helps your character become strong enough to take on higher-level missions.

To upgrade your gear in Diablo Immortal, you'll need to visit the Blacksmith, who is located in Westmarch.

From there, you can speak directly to the Blacksmith, where you can trade in Gold and the needed materials for an upgraded item. You can only upgrade Rare, Legendary, and Set items, as well as the materials needed for each item, depending on its current Rank.

Rare items cannot reach higher than Rank 5, Set items cannot reach higher than Rank 10, and Legendary items have a Rank cap of 20.

How much does it cost to upgrade your gear in Diablo Immortal?

Upgrading items in Diablo Immortal isn't free, so make sure you come to Westmarch prepared with what you'll need.

You'll need to bring a fairly large sum of Gold - though each item's upgrade cost differs - as well as any materials that are needed for the item you'd like to upgrade.

How to get materials for upgrading in Diablo Immortal?

To gain materials to upgrade your gear, you'll need to Salvage frequently. You can Salvage at the Blacksmith in Westmarch, the same place where you go to upgrade your items.

By Salvaging, you can break down your existing gear to reuse the materials for better gear. It's worth Salvaging pretty often as you play since it will almost always put you in a position to get a better item.
