Diablo 4 Uber Uniques Disabled

The Uber Unique items in Diablo 4 are so rare that the developers had to confirm they actually exist in the game a couple of weeks after its launch. Even if you play for hundreds of hours, you might never see one drop. On 7 July 2023, however, no person will see an Uber Unique drop in Diablo 4, as they have been disabled.

On 7 July 2023, Blizzard's Community Manager, Adam "PezRadar" Fletcher, retweeted a public service announcement from Blizzard's customer service Twitter account, stating that the Uber Uniques in Diablo 4 have been disabled.

Update on 12 July 2023: Blizzard has re-enabled uber Unique drops and those who got a Shako from the Helltide rush can keep it...

We have temporarily disabled Uber Uniques from dropping in-game while we address an issue with Helltide Chest drops. For more information please check our forums https://t.co/aee8XTov15

To be clear, this is Uber Unique drops, so if you are one of the lucky few to actually have one of these ultra-rare items, then they will still work. PezRadar explains:

We have temporarily disabled Uber Uniques from dropping in-game while we address an issue with Helltide Chest drops. Players will not be able to obtain the 6 Uber Unique items until a hotfix which we expect to be implemented on Friday afternoon Pacific Time. Other unique items will still be available from these chests.

This follows the release of the Diablo 4 1.04 update's release, which fixed many bugs and issues. The update also made it possible for Helltide chests to drop Unique items, as they previously dropped only up to Legendary equipment.

Hopefully, by 8 July 2023, the Uber Unique item drops will return in Diablo 4, so we can all chase them.

What Are The Diablo 4 Uber Uniques?

The Uber Uniques in Diablo 4 include iconic items that are, without a doubt, best-in-slot for most classes and builds, including The Grandfather and Shako (Harlequin Crest)!

For those who are unaware, the uber Uniques in Diablo 4 are:

• The Grandfather (2H Sword)
• Doombringer (1H Sword)
• Ring of Starless Skies (Ring)
• Andariel's Visage (Helm)
• Harlequin Crest (Helm) aka Shako for D2 fans!
• Melted Heart of Selig (Amulet)

These items are so rare that you could spend hundreds of hours farming endgame content without seeing one drop.
