Reports Suggest Diablo 4 Will Release In April 2023

Diablo IV is Blizzard Entertainment's latest highly anticipated title, initially announced on 1st November 2019 at Blizzcon 2019. While the game has yet to receive a firm release date, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022 revealed that it would release sometime in 2023. Now, a couple of months later, it seems the title might be closer than most think.

More recently, rumors suggest that Diablo IV will be showcased at The Game Awards 2022 on 8th December 2022, and the title will officially release worldwide in April 2023. Initially reported by Windows Central and The XboxEra Podcast, these rumors stated that Diablo IV would officially make its way to the limelight in December 2022 at The Game Awards 2022 event.

The fourth installment in the Diablo franchise will be showcased at the event, supposedly alongside more information or another possible cinematic teaser or gameplay trailer.

That said, these sources indicate that with the showcasing, Blizzard Entertainment would be opening up pre-orders for Diablo IV, alongside various premium collector's editions of the title and "rather fiery goodies" fans of the series can obtain. Additionally, Windows Central specifically noted that its sources had confirmed these rumors to be true and added details about the release aligned with these expectations.

Still, it's best to take this news with a grain of salt. Although some creditable sources might provide information, which may be true, Blizzard Entertainment can always change or cancel plans. In this regard, the best fans can do is to remain patient and wait for The Game Awards 2022 to unfold to verify the aforementioned claims.

And if they aren't true, Blizzard Entertainment has already confirmed Diablo IV would be arriving next year, which is right around the corner. So until these rumors can be proven accurate, stay tuned and mark your calendars for The Game Awards 2022, which is kicking off on 8th December 2022.
