With the Guardian Games finally live, you can get your hands on a brand new Strand Scout Rifle in Destiny 2. The Taraxippos is a newly introduced weapon in the game, and is associated with the Guardian Games. This Strand Scout Rifle will work well with most Strand builds, primarily because of the rolls it has.
Just like Stasis weapons, Strand weapons can be used in the Kinetic Slot only. Here's a quick rundown of how to get the Taraxippos and the god rolls that you should be gunning for during Destiny 2 Guardian Games.
Reminder - Guardian Games 2023 ends on May 23, 2023, following the weekly reset and the start of Destiny 2 Season of the Deep. So grab this God Roll whilst you still can!
How to Get The Taraxippos in Destiny 2
Since this weapon is associated with the Guardian Games in Destiny 2, the only way to acquire this weapon is by participating in the event. Whenever you complete any playlist activity in the game, or complete one of the contender cards with respect to the event, you'll earn medallions.
Head to the structure at the Tower and deposit the medals that you've collected. For every deposit you make, there's a chance you'll either a Taraxippos or The Title. There's also a small chance that you'll get a weapon whenever you complete any playlist activity with your Guardian Games class item equipped.
Finally, completing certain triumphs on the Guardian Games event card can also reward you with the Taraxippos in Destiny 2
Taraxippos God Rolls for PvP and PvE Activities
Scout Rifles aren't as good as Sniper Rifles, but they have a simpler learning curve. Moreover, Scout Rifles are more forgiving than Sniper Rifles in PvP. For example, if you end up missing a shot with a Scout Rifle, especially in the Trials of Osiris or in the Competitive mode, you'll still have the time to land the next shot. If you end up missing a Sniper shot, your enemy is likely to take you out.
With that in mind, the rolls that you need to take into account are Gutshot Straight and Moving Target. Given that it's a Lightweight Frame weapon, you'll move faster with this weapon equipped, so you'll be harder to hit if you're on the move. When it comes to the second column, you should go for rolls like Keep Away, Explosive Payload, and Hatchling.
For the PvE side of things, you'd want to go for rolls like Fourth Time's The Charm and Gutshot Straight in the first column. For the second column, you'd be better off with rolls like Hatchling, Focused Fury, and Kill Clip.
That's all we have for the Taraxippos Scout Rifle god rolls. Do keep in mind that this list isn't absolute, so feel free to see which roll suits your playstyle the best.
