With The Witch Queen's release well behind us, players stuck around Destiny 2 are getting rewarded with more and more challenging activities to tackle, such as Nightfalls.
Part of what makes banging your head into a wall while trying to complete high-end PvE activities worthwhile is the exclusive slew of rewards available, with The Palindrome Hand Cannon being among the best.
The explosive 140 RPM Hand Cannon has been absent from Destiny 2 since 7th February, with players finally able to farm it once more, albeit for a very limited amount of time.
Where to farm The Palindrome in Destiny 2
To get The Palindrome Hand Cannon, you'll need to complete Nightfall activities on any difficulty starting 5th April. After that, the weapon will stay on rotation until the next weekly reset on 12th April.
These are the weapon drop rates per difficulty:
- Adept (1480 PL) - Rare
- Hero (1520 PL) - Uncommon
- Legend (1550 PL) - Common
- Master (1580 PL) - Common
Other rewards for completing Nightfalls include Exotic gear, Enhancement Prism, and Ascendant Shards (Master only). The best thing about it is that they're farmable, meaning it's not a single reward each week, but these items can drop multiple times.
On top of this, Grandmaster Nightfalls, an even greater difficulty, will debut 5th April. Completing this PvE activity will allow you to earn an Adept version of The Palindrome, which boasts improved stats and access to Adept mods.
The Palindrome God Roll
Getting your hands on The Palindrome will undoubtedly be worth the grind. The Hand Cannon has an incredible perk pool that makes it useful for high-end PvE and PvP content.
However, if you want to unlock its true potential, the Adept version of The Palindrome is what you should be trying to farm. The ability to ensure the usage of Adept mods, on top of improved based stats, make this Hand Cannon almost a cheat in things like Trials of Osiris or Iron Banner.
With Season of the Risen, Origin Traits make Nightfall weapons even better for endgame content, as they boast two different ones:
- Stunning Recovery - Stunning a Champion refills your magazine partially, triggers health regeneration, and improves recovery for a short duration
- Vanguard's Vindication - Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health
While the latter gives more advantages in general content, Stunning Recovery is perfect for Champion-infested activities, especially since Hand Cannons are required to stun Unstoppable ones this season.
Having said that, keep an eye out for the following traits while farming The Palindrome:
- First column: Overflow, Outlaw, Quickdraw
- Second column: One for All, Thresh, High-Impact Reserves
