Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted pushes the ongoing Destiny narrative while introducing new seasonal weapons and armors for you to pursue. As always, the latest Destiny 2 Season also introduces several new resources that you must collect to unlock various equipment and abilities. One such rare resource is Figments of Darkness.

You will need Figments of Darkness to unlock upgrades on the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M. If you're confused about how to obtain these rare resources, here's our guide that explains how to farm Figments of Darkness in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted.

There are three ways to acquire Figments of Darkness in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunting. The easiest way to acquire it is by progressing the Bound in Sorrow quest. Completing Sorrow Bound 1, which includes the Nightmare Containment public event in Derelict Leviathan, and the Sever weekly quest, will grant you Figments of Darkness.

The second way is to complete one of the week 1 Seasonal Challenges called Sustained Fire. For this, you have to defeat combatants with Auto Rifle or Trace Rifle final blows on the Derelict Leviathan and defeat combatants with Solar damage in any Sever activity. Completing this seasonal challenge will reward you with Figments of Darkness. Future weekly Seasonal Challenges may also reward Figments of Darkness.

The third and final way to acquire Figments of Darkness is by progressing the vendor rank of Crown of Sorrow. You can do so by completing Seasonal Challenges, Daily Crown of Sorrow Bounties, Nightmare Containment public event, and opening Sever chests.

Below are the Crown of Sorrow vendor ranks at which you will gain Figments of Darkness -

  • Rank 4
  • Rank 10
  • Rank 16

Right now, we do not know if resetting your Crown of Sorrow vendor rank will allow you to earn more Figments of Darkness or not.

At the time of this writing, these are the only ways to farm Figments of Darkness in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunting. We will make sure to update this guide as Season 17 continues and more ways to farm Figments of Darkness are available.
