The ghost-hunting game Demonologist will add a Nightmare difficulty, as well as some other brand-new features for players to try out and explore, in an upcoming update. Clock Wizard Games announced the upcoming changes on their Twitter/X account, mentioning that the new Nightmare difficulty is part of the "upcoming" updates.
Currently, there are only three difficulty levels in Demonologist. The new Nightmare difficulty will bring the game more in line with fellow ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia, which has both Nightmare and Insanity difficulty options.
The Demonologist team also teased more changes coming in the update, even showcasing some gameplay footage for fans. It's not entirely clear what the new area in the video is, but fans speculate it could be a new Van, new Safe House, new Map, or even a new event-specific area. "It is coming soon," the teaser promises.

There's no specific release date announced for these changes, including the new Nightmare difficulty. However, Clock Wizard Games regularly release updates for Demonologist, so it's highly likely that the new difficulty level will be available in the game sooner rather than later!
