Bloodpoints are the currency that allows you to level up all of your characters in the horror game Dead by Daylight, meaning that they are arguably the most important type of currency in the game. They're certainly used a lot more than other currencies like Auric Cells and Iridescent Shards, which only allow you to purchase in-game cosmetics and skins for your killers and survivors.
If you’ve been saving up Bloodpoints ever since rank reset, you might be curious about how many of them it takes to level up a character to level 50. If you're ready to start prestiging your character, let’s go over how many Bloodpoints you need in this article.
1 June 2023 - The Bloodpoint economy is constantly shifting as developers make changes to item prices, challenge payouts, and more. This article has been updated to reflect how many Bloodpoints it currently takes to get to level 50 in Dead by Daylight.
How Many Bloodpoints To Get To Level 50?
Level 50 is the maximum level you can reach on any character before you’ll need to prestige them again. To get to level 50 on either killer or survivor, you’ll need to spend about 1 million Bloodpoints in the Bloodweb.
If you want to prestige your character and continue buying items and offerings for them after leveling them up to 50, you’ll need to spend 20,000 more Bloodpoints on the prestige node.
After the prestige update back in June 2022, you will no longer lose all of your items and perks when prestiging. Prestige levels 1, 2, and 3 will give you that character’s teachable perks at those respective levels.
How Many Bloodpoints To Get To Prestige 3?
As we mentioned, it takes about 1 million Bloodpoints to get your character to Level 50, and another 20,000 to claim the Prestige node after you complete Level 50.
As such, it takes about 3 million Bloodpoints to get a character to Prestige 3 - though it may take a bit more or less, depending on whether you purchase items efficiently or an event is going on.
You can prestige your character beyond Prestige Level 3, but the first three prestige levels are the most important, as they allow you to receive that character's perks on all other characters.
