How to Remove Bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley

As you find your way to the Sunlit Plateau in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it'll be more than a little frustrating to be confronted by some huge bones blocking the bridge and your ability to continue exploring. Fortunately, there is a way to get rid of and break all the bones in the Sunlit Plateau using your trusty Royal Shovel.

There are extra mining veins, chests, and a whole other fishing pond hiding behind those bones. Fortunately, by finishing the right quests for Scar you'll be able to remove all the Sunlit Plateau bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Remove Bones in the Sunlit Plateau

The first thing you'll need to do to remove bones from the Sunlit Plateau in Disney Dreamlight Valley is become friends with Scar. You can unlock Scar as a villager by finishing the Nature & Nurture quest which we have more details on here.

Once you have, start working on improve his friendship level. You first need to get him to Friendship Level 3 for the quest "Breaking Bones" to finally become available. As it kicks off, you'll be sent to speak with Scrooge McDuck.

You'll have to locate some Lion's Claws, Dry Wood, and Iron Ingots. Lion's Claws are the easiest, as you just need to look for sparkling cracked ground spots near walls of the Sunlit Plateau. Dry Wood spawns at trees in the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands.

Finally, getting enough Iron Ingots will likely take the longest depending on what you already have in storage. Make sure you've got a mining companion with you, and focus on rock veins in the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, Frosted Heights, Vitalys Mine, and Forgotten Lands.

That'll net you some Iron Ore, and likely some Coal Ore in the process, which together can be made into Iron Ingots at the crafting station. Use that same crafting station to craft all of these items into the Lion's Claw Shovel Head, and you can now remove all of the small bones in the Sunlit Plateau.

How to Remove Large Bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You need to keep working on Scar to get him to Friendship Level 7 if you want to knock out the large bones blocking the bridge in the Sunlit Plateau. When you do, you'll unlock the quest "Circle of Life" and finally be on the way to clearing things. 

Scar sends you to Mother Gothel, and she wants some Old Bones and Purified Night Shards. You'll find Old Bones in the Vitalys Mines by going left and then taking the first right, at which point you should find the Old Bones shining on the ground.

As for those Purified Night Shards, you need to combine Night Shards and Dream Shards. Night Shards are normally found by digging any sparkling spot around the valley, and so take your shovel and start digging. Dream Shards, on the other hand, are occasionally in sparkling ground spots but can also be earned by removing Night Thorns or feeding critters their favorite food.

Use a crafting station to combine those materials into Purified Night Shards, and speaking to Scar will send you to the geyser inside his Giant Skull house. Toss them in and you'll get some ashes which have to be planted and watered, and within about an hour you should have the Flower of Bones.

A few more Purified Night Shards and a trip to the crafting station later, and you should finally have the Roaring Shovel Head. Use the item in your inventory, and your Royal Shovel will finally be strong enough to break and remove all the large bones in the Sunlit Plateau. If you want to net some extra resources while you're at it, grab a digging companion before you start cleaning up.
