Disney Dreamlight Valley is packed with different critters to approach from region to region, but few can be as difficult as the raccoon. Whether it's via the regular Dreamlight Duties or in a particular quest, you could find yourself needing to feed a few. The good news is their favorite food won't be hard to locate, but you need patience to feed them.
How to Feed Raccoons in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are unique critters in each biome across Disney Dreamlight Valley, but not all of them are as friendly and easy to approach. While players can simply walk right up to a squirrel or sunbird, you have to be very careful for others.
Raccoons are found exclusively in the Forest of Valor, so you will have to complete a few early quests and spend Dreamlight to open that region before you have the ability to feed the raccoons. Once there, look for blueberry bushes to harvest some as these are raccoons' favorite food.
Finally, you need to watch how the raccoons stand while approaching them. If you walk up very slowly, you'll eventually see the raccoon pop up a bit more on their hind legs. When the raccoon raises itself up like this, you need to stop moving IMMEDIATELY. If you take one more tiny step when it raises up like this, the raccoon will scurry off and start the process over again.
While it's raised, wait until the raccoon sits back down to a lower position. You'll only have time to take maybe one or two tiny steps forward. Just tap your movement ahead one tiny bit, and the raccoon will pop back up.
Repeat this process of taking tiny steps forward after it drops down, which will take a while, and eventually the raccoon will sit down even lower on the ground and allow you to approach. Feed them some blueberries and the raccoon will rejoice at getting its favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
