G2, North and Natus Vincere have been added to the line-up of top CS:GO teams that will be in attendance at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019.
They join a growing list of predominantly European teams to be taking part, with the other teams as follows:
- Astralis
- Fnatic
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- OpTic Gaming (invited after winning DreamHack Open Summer)
- Team Liquid
- Vitality
- NRG Esports
- Furia
- ENCE
- G2 Esports
- North
- Natus Vincere
With four teams left to be announced for the event, things are heating up ahead of the early October event, which takes place between October 1-6.
The event will take place as part of the Malmo Game Week, and is the third time Malmo will be will be the host city of a DreamHack event: including the first ever DreamHack Masters.
The Frenchmen on G2 will be looking to rectify a disappointing IEM Chicago, in which they failed to make an impact and were knocked out by a struggling MIBR team that had a coach playing instead of its full roster.
Meanwhile, North have been in somewhat of a rebuilding phase recently, and are on a high after qualifying for the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, though G2 and Na'Vi are attending as returning challengers and Legends respectively.
Na'Vi are the top team of the three announced here. With Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev on side, arguably the best CS:GO player in the world, they've looked like potential winners for a long time, but have struggled to reach that very top spot that Astralis and Team Liquid have been taking up.
