Flashpoint Season 2: Schedule, groups and how to watch

After the inaugural season of the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league saw MAD Lions come out on top, Flashpoint is back for another round. 

With investment from teams like Gen.G, Cloud9 and Dignitas, Flashpoint is fast becoming one of the standout CS:GO league’s of the year - only marred this year, like many esport events, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

So what can you expect from Flashpoint Season 2? Here’s what you need to know heading into the new season.

When does Flashpoint Season 2 begin and what is the prize pool?

Flashpoint will start its sophomore season on Tuesday 10th November, concluding with the finals on 6th December. 

This season also boasts the biggest prize pool of any CS:GO event this year, with a huge $1 million up for grabs. 

What is the format?

The league starts with a Group stage where 12 teams will compete across three different groups in best-of-three matches. 

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs, while the third and fourth placed teams will move into a Last Chance Stage - a single elimination bracket where the top two teams will earn the remaining two spots in Playoffs. 

The Playoffs will then kick off with a double-elimination bracket for eight teams in best-of-three matches.
