BLAST Premier reveals Spring Series talent

The new BLAST league will see its first Spring Series take place in London in January. The host, analysts, casters and interviewer for the event have been revealed.
BLAST Premier reveals Spring Series talent

BLAST Premier Spring Series will see some of CS:GO's best talent return to the UK capital for the event.

Following his departure from the Overwatch League, Auguste "Semmler" Massonnate is returning to Counter-Strike as the desk host in a move many expecting following his presence for the group draw.

Joining him on the desk will be Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill and Duncan "Thorin" Shields while de_brief's very own James Banks will be handling interviews throughout the three London weekends.

All of the action will be cast by Anders Blume, Jason "moses" O'Toole, Conner "Scrawny" Girvan and Mohan "launders" Govindasamy.

This new BLAST format comes after over two years of the BLAST Pro Series that saw community backlash for a variety of reasons and led to RFRSH Entertainment selling Astralis, a team that featured frequently in their events seemingly in favour of other big LAN tournaments during 2019.

The first weekend of the regular season of the BLAST Premier Spring Series will take place from 31st January to 2nd February for Group A, with the next two weekends designated for Group B and Group C respectively.

Each weekend will see best-of-three matches and the ability for teams to fight through the Lower Bracket to make it to the Grand Final of their group. The top two teams from each group advance to the Spring Finals and the bottom two will participate in a Spring Showdown against four invited teams for two last-chance spots.

All of the games will be broadcast on the new BLASTPremier Twitch channel and all new information and updates can be found on the official BLASTPremier Twitter account.

Tickets are still available for the event, with fans able to choose which matches they see rather than being in 3 Mills Studio for an entire day if they only wish to watch their favourite teams play.
