After a huge amount of teasing Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) fans with a sexy asphalt image, Valve has finally unleashed the iconic Train (de_Train) map after its three-and-a-half-year absence. There's a host of changes to come to terms with and many easter eggs to discover, one of which is a QR code that you can scan.

I'm not going to beat around the bush here. After I downloaded the CS2 update on the morning of 14 November 2024, I jumped into a bot match to check out the new, wet train with glorious, reactive rain. I also wanted to see the easter eggs for myself and found the "hidden" QR code in a matter of minutes. Here's what you need to know!

Where is the QR Code on Train? CS2 Easter Egg Location

The QR code is kind of hidden in plain sight. Many gamers might miss it entirely, as it is quite small and doesn't stand out. However, its location is very easy to find. As you spawn on the T-side, look to your right. There's a timetable above the ATM, and that's where you'll find the QR code, as per the image below.

I almost missed the QR code as it is quite small from the T-side spawn view, and you generally have your knife out running past quickly. (Picture: Valve / Wessel Minnie)

It's as simple as that and completely new to the CS2 version of the train.

Where Does The CS2 Train QR Code Take You?

You can scan the QR code below right now with your phone. In this day and age, not everyone wants to just scan links or click on them for fear of bad actors. Well, I've tested it for you, scanning the CS2 Train QR code to make sure it's safe.

So, where does the QR code take you? Well, it just takes users who scan it to the official Counter-Strike 2 Steam store page. That's not a big, awesome reveal of any kind, but it's definitely something cool that Valve added as a little extra. The numbers next to the QR code might point toward CS2 maps, and dedicated fans are currently figuring things out.
