Ropz Bids Farewell To FaZe Clan in Heartfelt Goodbye

One of the most high-profile Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster changes during "rostermania" has to be Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool parting ways with FaZe Clan to reportedly join Team Vitality. Early in January 2025, it was confirmed that ropz had parted ways with FaZe Clan.

The Estonian rifler has been part of the extremely successful FaZe Clan roster for three years, reuniting with the legendary Danish IGL,  Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen, in January 2022 after playing together on MOUZ for years. 

It is no secret that Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool is one of the best CS2 players, and with FaZe Clan, he has won the likes of PGL Major Antwerp, IEM Cologne, IEM Katowice, and even the Intel Grand Slam following their win at ESL Pro League Season 17.

With the news of ropz' departure confirmed, he took to X to tweet a heartfelt goodbye. Get some tissues ready:

Once upon a time, there was a 12 year old boy who dreamt of being in FaZe. That boy was me. Fast forward a decade, and I am proud for not only reaching that dream but also creating history within it. Today, I am officially leaving FaZe to start another journey. It was an absolute joy and pleasure to represent this team alongside all the amazing people, who became like family to me.

Memories for a lifetime, one of the best 3 years of my life. No words will do justice to how much this meant for me and how special everything was, this was a decision I made against my heart and a part of me will always love this team and organisation. Thank you.

At the time of writing early in the morning of 3 January 2025, Team Vitality has not officially added Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool to their active roster, but it is definitely only a matter of time. I expect we'll see an official ropz to Vitality and the benching of Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi very soon.
