A new city-builder is on the horizon. Cities Skylines 2 is the sequel to Colossal Order's and Paradox Interactive's Cities Skylines, which released back in 2015. This particular sim allows players to design, build and manage their own city and suburb, akin to the likes of Sim City.
In Cities Skylines 2, however, players will have even more freedom at their fingertips. The original game limited the playing area to 9 tiles, which covered 36 km2 of area. While the remastered edition bumped that up to 25 tiles (100 km2), Cities Skylines 2 will push that limit even further by allowing players to build on 441 tiles. There also won't be any limits to the number of citizens simulated by the game, either.
Much like the first, Cities Skylines 2 will include weather changes, day-night cycles, but now also include natural disasters that can be brought on by particular seasons. Excessive snow could fall in the Winter months, whereas Summer could bring in risk of floods. If you're looking for something new in a city building sim, then Cities Skylines 2 will no doubt already be on your radar. Below, we'll go over everything you need to know about the title ahead of release, including its release date, platforms, editions, and price.
