Call of Duty: Vanguard players will have a lot to dig into once the game launches this upcoming 5th November, with Warzone Pacific releasing just a few weeks down the line.
That's right, Activision has unveiled a ton of information regarding the new Warzone experience, which will be officially called Warzone Pacific once Vanguard rolls around, including when we can expect Season 1 to land and what to expect from it.
Without further ado, let's get down to it.
Warzone Pacific Season 1 - Release date
According to a blog post by Activision on 28th October, Warzone Pacific Season 1 will kick off this following 2nd December, putting an end to the Verdansk era of the free-to-play battle royale.
It will boast new modes, maps for both Verdansk and Rebirth Island, weaponry, everything you'd come to expect from the launch of a new Warzone season.
New battle royale map - Caldera
Dropping with Season 1, Caldera is looking like a completely different experience from Verdansk, with a more tropical look compared to the gloomy, almost post-apocalyptic aesthetic of its predecessor.
The map will feature aerial combat as part of its biggest changes in comparison to Verdansk and is sure to become a popular way to engage in combat once it releases.
Vanguard Royale and Vanguard Plunder modes
While players will be able to use all their previous arsenal and classic Verdansk vehicles in the standard playlists coming with Season 1, these Vanguard specific ones will only feature weapons from the latest title in the FPS franchise.
"This limit streamlines the meta, granting new players an opportunity to jump in without facing fully maxed-out loadouts right at launch. It also grants room for experimentation with these new weapons, giving the most hardcore community meta prophets a place to focus on the future for a winning loadout."
Warzone Pacific Season 1 battle pass
While we didn't get a lot of information regarding the contents of the battle pass, fans will be pleased to know that SledgeHammer will follow a similar format when it comes to content distribution, being a shared experience for Vanguard and Warzone players.
Players can expect the classic sleuth of weapons, blueprints, Operator Skins, and more to pop up with the first Warzone Pacific battle pass.
