Leaked maps for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 POIs

There hasn't been a great deal of information leaked or released on Call of Duty Warzone 2, but the well-respected COD insider Tom Henderson just revealed some exciting news for fans. The leaks involve Modern Warfare 2 content as well, and will certainly be well-received amongst longtime fans of the franchise.

After a video surfaced from COD content creator NerosCinema, Tom Henderson was able to verify with his own sources that classic maps will be returning to Modern Warfare 2 as well as Warzone 2.

Four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps and Warzone 2 POIs

After Warzone 2 was confirmed to be in development back in February 2022, many players were gushing with excitement when it was revealed it would be built on a brand-new engine.

It appears the new framework will be mixed with a bit of classic Call of Duty content as the recent leaks showed these four classic COD maps will be returning to not only the core title (MW2) but to the Warzone 2 map as well in the form of POIs.

Quarry

The leaks revealed Quarry will feature as a POI at the top left corner of the Warzone 2 map. Quarry is a classic Modern Warfare 2 map and will be a hotspot for sniping as well as many tight spaces for intense close-range combat. 

Afghan

Afghan is one of the most recognizable maps in Call of Duty as it features a crashed aircraft in the middle of a canyon. Tom Henderson and his sources believe this POI will feature near the left-center of the map within the Caves POI.

High Rise

Both Tom Henderson and NerosCinema revealed High Rise will feature in Warzone 2 as a POI located at the top right of the map and is tagged with the name Modern City, though that's reportedly not yet final. The large city and skyscraper area should provide fast-paced excitement similar to a Tilted Towers in Fortnite.

Terminal

One of the most popular Modern Warfare maps of all time will return in Warzone 2 as Terminal will be included in the new Airport POI. Many fans were clamoring for the map to feature at the airport in Verdansk but it never arrived. Now it will feature in the bottom right of the Warzone 2 map and is reportedly one of three locations with a large stronghold.
