COD Vanguard Dark Aether Entities - Artifact ultimate abilities

There is less than one day until the global launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard and fans are eager to try out the new Zombies game mode. In their blog post, developers Treyarch boasted an all-new objective-driven experience in their teaser trailer for COD Vanguard Zombies, with a new "Der Anfang" map spanning Stalingrad, Merville, Paris, and Shi No Numa.

Treyarch also noted that they would be delivering an "entirely fresh take on Zombies in Vanguard" set in the Dark Aether with "a mountain of new gameplay systems to dive into." In addition to this, COD Vanguard Zombies will feature four Dark Aether Entities with special abilities called artefacts. So without any further ado, here's everything you need to know ahead of your battle against the undead.

What are the Dark Aether Entities artefact abilities?

In their official blog post, Treyarch said: "We introduced a sinister new antagonist coming to Vanguard Zombies: Wolfram Von List. Through the power of Dark Aether magic, he has formed a bond with Kortifex the Deathless, a former Dark Aether lord with the power to raise the dead, threatening to turn the tide of the Second World War."

Fortunately, all hope is not lost as players will be able to use the power of the rival Dark Aether Entities and their artefacts to fight against Kortifex and the Third Reich.

There are four Dark Aether Entities that players can use to defend the hordes of undead in COD Vanguard Zombies, including Saraxis the Shadow, Bellekar the Warlock, Inviktor the Destroyer, and Norticus the Conqueror.

We've listed each of their abilities below:

• Dragon of Saraxis: Spawns an Aethereal explosive, dealing massive damage to enemies who set it off.
• Mask of Bellekar: Cloaks you in Dark Aether, masking your presence from enemies for 5 seconds.
• Sword of Inviktor: Sparks a ring of Aethereal flame to boost damage for anyone within its radius for 15 seconds.
• Horn of Norticus: Summons a frigid vortex, damaging enemies with the initial blast and slowing those that enter.

Treyarch may release more Dark Aether Entities in future seasons to join the fight against Kortifex; however, this has yet to be confirmed. We'll just have to wait and see what else the developers have under their sleeves until then.
