Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered artwork discovered in update files

After the remaster appeared on numerous ratings boards over the past year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered may actually be on the near horizon.

Following the latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, dataminers on Reddit have discovered a bunch of details about what’s in the pipeline.

The artwork for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is the biggest find, which follows the previous remaster of the original Modern Warfare.

It also appears to confirm this will only be a remaster of the single-player campaign and won’t feature any multiplayer component.

The remaster looks to also be tied in with a Ghost Pack: Oil Rig bundle, which includes a UDT Ghost Operator skin, and numerous weapons and emblems.

A description reads: “Purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and receive the Underwater Team Classic Ghost Bundle.

“Or purchase the Ghost Pack: Oil Rig Bundle to receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.’

Dataminers have also discovered files relating to maps coming to Modern Warfare too, including Backlot from Call of Duty 4 and Village from Modern Warfare 3.

There’s also new weapons in the SKS Sniper and Renetti Pistol, although it’s unclear when all this will be released by Activision.

As for Warzone, the leaks also reveal Duos and Quads may be coming to the Battle Royale - after they previously added Solos into the title.

Battle Royale One Shot

• Battle Royale with 1-shot Headshots and no loadout drops.

Hardcore Battle Royale

While these leaked files indicate all this is heading to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone soon, it's still important to note Activision hasn't confirmed any of the above.
