Call of Duty, one of gaming's most legendary series, is getting a new installment: Modern Warfare 3. Set to launch in November, there's already plenty of excitement surrounding all of the new features rolling out alongside the title.
But what some players are most excited for is its online component, namely Multiplayer. While we do not know what game modes are coming to Modern Warfare 3 exactly, it seems that players should expect some changes. More specifically, there will be some changes to players' available health points in Multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Health Increased
Across Call of Duty's history, there have been a lot of consistencies that players have come to know and enjoy in Multiplayer. Killstreaks, perks, weapons, and more are a core element of Call of Duty. Previously, players all had 100 HP for every life in Multiplayer. Now, it seens that'll change.
According to an insider with the username @el_bobberto on Twitter, it seems that the HP pool for players will increase. Now Multiplayer in Modern Warfare 3 will give players 150 HP instead of the usual 100. Although this seems like a minor update, this could have big implications for Multiplayer matches going forward.
How Will Increased Health Affect Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer?
Although it might not seem like a big deal, the increased health could drastically change the metagame for Modern Warfare 3. The increased HP means the time to kill for each weapon will also increase as well. This could mean that some weapon classes could become much worse if the game is not balanced properly.
There are some snipers that could fail a one-hit kill thanks to the increased health. Submachine guns could also become a lot worse if you are spraying for too long. We'll have to wait and see how the developers decide to balance the game around the health changes.
